I am excited to join Berkshire Surgical Associates and look forward to continuing my practice here in Pittsfield.

We are pleased to announce that Andrew Lederman, M.D. has joined Berkshire Surgical Associates, P.C. As of January 1, 2010, Dr. Lederman has been seeing patients at our Pittsfield office, in the Medical Arts Complex at Berkshire Medical Center.

Dr. Lederman brings his expertise in gastrointestinal surgery, minimally invasive surgery and flexible endoscopy.

As Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery at Berkshire Medical Center, Dr. Lederman has led that program to achieve national certification. He will continue to serve nationally as a site inspector for the American College of Surgeons Bariatric Surgery program.

Dr. Lederman will continue to offer both laparoscopic gastric bypass and laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding procedures at his new practice. Over the past five years, Dr. Lederman has brought many new laparoscopic techniques to Berkshire County.

An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Andrew B. Lederman loves skiing and has traveled extensively. He specializes in bariatric, and minimally invasive surgeries. He serves as a site inspector for the American College of Surgeons Bariatric Surgery program, and is the Medical Director of the Bariatric Program at Berkshire Medical Center. He is also consulting staff at North Adams Regional and Holyoke Hospitals. Dr. Lederman is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons, and has contributed to multiple publications. He lives in Pittsfield, with his wife, and two sons.
