Physicians
Michael R. DiSiena, D.O.
“As a group, we provide a wide range of surgical services. My advanced training in cancer surgery and pathology allow us to offer treatment for more complex cancers that previously required patients to leave the area.  Since I recently completed my training, I rely on the physicians in this practice because they have decades of experience and have dealt with a broad range of patient concerns.  I deeply value this interaction and believe it greatly strengthens our service to the community.”

Dr. DiSiena has been associated with Berkshire Medical Center (BMC) since 1994 when he joined the hospital staff as a resident in General Surgery, becoming Chief Resident General Surgery in 2002.  From 2003 to 2005 he held a fellowship in Surgical Oncology at Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence, RI, which is affiliated with Boston University School of Medicine.  He joined Berkshire Surgical Associates in 2005.

Specializing in Surgical Oncology with training in pathology, Dr. DiSiena has the skill and knowledge to deal with complex cancer surgeries. He provides general surgical services as well as breast and gynecological surgery.  His experience in cancer of the lung, esophagus, liver and pancreas are unique in the Berkshires.  Trained as a D.O. (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine SO), he embraces a holistic approach to medicine.

Dr. DiSiena and his wife Joan, live in Lenox.  In addition to other outdoor activities, Dr. DiSiena likes to fish and play golf.  He also enjoys woodworking projects.
