Michael S. Cohn, M.D., F.A.C.S.
“We have the best of both worlds—a very sophisticated surgical practice in a community setting. We give individual attention to patients in a kind and caring way, taking care of their problems. In addition to our extensive experience, the kindness part is very important to me, too.”

Dr. Cohn joined Berkshire Surgical Associates in 1979 after serving as Chief Resident of Surgery at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.  He is currently Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.  Dr. Cohn has expertise in vascular surgery, renal dialysis access surgery, gastrointestinal and breast surgery.

Dr. Cohn, who has three grown children, lives in Pittsfield with his wife Roberta.  A passionate fisherman, Dr. Cohn enjoys fly-fishing vacations in Western Canada and the US with his family.  He is also fond of golf and traveling overseas.
