About Us

The collegial surgical practice that is Berkshire Surgical Associates (BSA) today traces its roots to earlier professional collaborations in the Berkshires dating back to the 1970s. Under the leadership of Dr. Parvis Sadighi, now retired, the group developed a strong surgical practice in Berkshire County, adjacent Western Massachusetts and surrounding communities in New York, Vermont and Connecticut.

Surgical Resident Training
BSA is actively involved in surgical resident training for third- and fourth-year medical students at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNECOM). Four of our physicians have academic appointments as Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. The training program provides clinical exposure and operating room experience for medical students.

Medical Excellence and Personal Attention
Our skilled physicians understand that undergoing surgery is challenging. We are committed to providing a caring environment in which you and your family can make well-informed decisions with confidence. Our ongoing training means we are up-to-date on the most advanced surgical techniques.   Our community setting and cohesive group practice offer you a rare combination of medical excellence and personal attention.
